Who can remember which cookbook has a list of substitutions. Very comprehensive.

I love that this has multi-ethnic and dehydrated ingredients. Wish you could ask them to add ingredients via gui. I need a sub for saltpeter.

So many times I have ran out of a certain item while cooking. This is a great app! :)

Used the app today to find a sub for sour cream. Did the job! Thanks.

Super easy to use and faster than looking up a substitute or going to the store. Lots of bang for your 1.99!

Ive used it a few times now and the subs have worked out nicely.

Some bad moments

No search feature - must scroll through everything. Limited vegetable substitutions. Good idea...needs work.

How about for herbs you dont use regularly like cumin? Most of the categories seem sparse and I would not have bought this if I had seen the limited selections.

The number of substitutions is limited with very few customization options. Without significant increase in the number and variety of substitutions offered, I cant recommend.
